چکیده

Methods 150 consecutive subjects with suspected CAD completed paired vasodilator stress/rest perfusion MRI on a 1.5 Tesla scanner and coronary CT angiogram on a 320-slice scanner. Primary study endpoints are overall MOCO image quality categorized as excellent, good, fair, and poor based on type and extent of image artifacts and the diagnostic accuracy of MOCO stress/rest perfusion images. Both MOCO and raw perfusion images were automatically reconstructed inline for all subjects.

Attenuation correction in myocardial perfusion SPECT using sequential transmission - emission scanning with 99mTc [Persain]

Introduction: Nowadays, Imaging of the myocardial perfusion (MPI) using the single photon emission tomography (SPET) in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease, especially myocardial ischemia, is of great importance. In contrast to the coronary artery angiography, MPI is non-invasive, less expensive and more physiological. Unfortunately, this image is affected by the some artifacts. Thes...

Evaluation of semi quantitative perfusion parameter maps generated based on a fully automated non-rigid motion correction during a first pass myocardial perfusion (FPMP) MRI

Background FPMP MRI is commonly used to assess CAD and most recently to assess cardiac involvement in asymptomatic patients with CMVD such as systemic sclerosis and diabetes mellitus. FPMP MRI evaluation relies on visual inspection for qualitative analysis but quantitative analysis of rest and stress perfusion data is desired to improve diagnosis. One main challenge of qualitative analysis incl...

Improved Reliability of Cardiac Perfusion MRI using Free-breathing Myocardial ASL with Navigator-echo (FREEMAN)

Introduction Myocardial blood flow (MBF) or perfusion is an important index of ischemic heart disease. To date, human myocardial perfusion analysis is generally performed using SPECT/PET and/or first-pass perfusion MRI which involves radiation and gadolinium-based contrast agent respectively. Arterial spin labeling (ASL) has recently been applied for assessing myocardial perfusion in both anima...

Clinical evaluation of inline motion correction for cardiac perfusion MRI

Background Cardiac MR is often utilized to assess myocardial perfusion [1].Typically, T1 weighted images of the first pass of contrast agent are qualitatively assessed to identify hypo-enhanced regions of the myocardium. Although fully integrated approaches are available to register individual images to eliminate motion the impact on diagnostic accuracy has not been validated in patients [2].

Evaluation of attenuation correction process in cardiac SPECT images

Introduction: Attenuation correction is a useful process for improving myocardial perfusion SPECT and is dependent on activity and distribution of attenuation coefficients in the body (attenuation map). Attenuation artifacts are a common problem in myocardial perfusion SPECT. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of attenuation correction using different a...
